Stud Fee
This agreement is subject to the following conditions:
(Required)
I agree to the terms.
Breeding fees must be paid along with a signed contract prior to mare leaving the farm.
Foal registration papers and breeding certificates will not be furnished until the mare owner’s account is in good standing.
It is the mare owner’s responsibility to call in advance of the planned breeding date.
Boarding fees
are
$12.00 a day
for dry mares and
$20.00
for mares with a foal.
Holmes Farm
will need a copy of the mare's registration papers, Coggins, and owners home address plus appropriate phone numbers.
Live Foal Guarantee:
Should the mare fail to produce a foal that stands and nurses, the mare owner shall be entitled to rebreed the mare or substitute a mare. There will be no additional breeding fee for a rebreed, but boarding expenses shall apply.
Failure to notify Holmes Farm in writing within 2 weeks of an untimely death shall result in the loss of the live foal guarantee and return privileges. This clause is also binding in the case of abortion.
The mare owner fully understands, authorizes, and assumes the risk inherent in breeding with the use of live cover. Mare owner also understands the risk of failure due to many variables and shall hold the stallion owner harmless for any losses suffered due to an unsuccessful attempt at conception.
Holmes Farm
shall not be liable for the death, sickness and/or accident, including consequential damages caused to the mare and/or foal, and mare owner agrees to hold Holmes Farms, or any person associated with the same, harmless for any and all damages associated herewith.
This breeding contract is good for a period of 24 months and mares may be substituted for the mare on the original contract in cases where the original mare proves to be infertile.
State law requires that all equines transported in the state of Missouri have a one-year negative Coggins test. It is the mare owner’s responsibility to provide
Holmes Farm
with a copy of the Coggins test at the time of leaving the mare at the farm. If one is not provided then one will be pulled at the owner’s expense.
Holmes Farm
requires that all mares be current on vaccinations and deworming, and it is suggested that mares also be vaccinated including but not limited to West Nile, EEE and Strangles.
